Phase 1 Completed April 2002; Phase 2 Completed May 2004

The Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center was completed in 2 phases. Phase 1 replaced an aged and earthquake damaged swimming pool with the following specifics:

a. 50-meter by 25 yard multi-use swimming pool with 1 and 3-meter springboards, 5-meter diving platform and cast-in-place pool structure.

b. 450-square foot play pool with zero depth entry and water spray feature.

c. Pool deck, perimeter fencing and other site amenities.

Phase 2 consisted of a complete renovation and modernization of an existing 8,200 square foot bathhouse.
