CSUMB Aquatic Center - California State University,
Monterey Bay, Seaside, CA

The CSUMB Aquatic Center was designed using a fast track process to facilitate a short time frame. In order to accommodate this, JMAE worked closely with University staff and the University’s construction management firm to develop three sets of construction documents (grading and utilities, buildings, and swimming pool) so they could be bid to multiple prime contractors. This process resulted in the pool and buildings being constructed in less than 90 days. The major components of this facility included:

a. 25-yard by 25-meter multi-use swimming pool capable of
    accommodating competition level NCAA swimming, water polo,
    diving and recreational swimming.

b. 4,200 square foot locker building.

c. 1,300 square foot mechanical building.

d. Site utilities including a sewage pumping station, perimeter fencing,
